SAP Langtextpflege über FIORI-APP optimiert mit inkludierter Übersetzung

In the SAP system, long text maintenance is carried out using transaction SO10 and translation using SE63. Both SAP transactions do not offer the convenience and overview desired in today's world. The new Fiori app for long text maintenance uses flexible selection criteria to provide a convenient overview list (master list) as a result for further selection and editing of an individual long text. The detail screen on the right contains all information and input options with a direct translation area.

The transaction "/FLEXUS/MBS1_1119" is located behind the "Long text maintenance" tile. The user can view already maintained long texts and maintain them for different languages. Furthermore, new long texts can be created, transported and deleted.

The following functions are available:

**Create new long text**
After clicking the "New" button, a new long text is created with the pseudo-title "New long text". The master list is emptied except for this entry. The user must now enter his text name. The prefix preassigned via the field control is already displayed, so the user only has to enter the text name without "/FLEXUS/TC_". The language cannot be changed at first, since the first long text is always created in the language in which one is logged on to the SAP system (SY-LANGU). The short title is optional, but the long text must be entered to save it.
If you end the creation process with "Cancel creation", a popup appears asking whether you want to discard the changes or continue the process.
If you save your long text, it is immediately selected and can be edited further.

**Change long text**
In the "Change / create long text" area, all possible languages entered in the SAP system can be selected, regardless of whether a long text has been created for the selected language. In this area, a short title and long text can be created or changed for the selected language, which, however, can only be edited with 
Delete long text
When deleting a long text, there are 2 different options to choose from. Delete individual long text in target language or delete entire long text in all languages.

**Delete**
If the user presses the "Delete" button, an attempt is made to delete the long text in the language selected in the "Change / create long text" area. A popup will appear where the user has to confirm that he really wants to delete the selected long text. If the long text is not maintained in the target language, an error message is displayed.

**Transport saved long text (all languages)**
The button "Transport saved long texts" allows you to transport a long text including all languages into a transport request. After clicking on the button, a popup opens in which a transport task must be selected. There is an input help, which can be called with F4. Now you can filter the hits by "Request/Task", "Short description", "Parent request" and "Owner". If suitable customizing requests exist, you can select the appropriate entry and start the transport by clicking on "Transport".

Im SAP-System wird die Langtextpflege über die Transaktion SO10 durchgeführt und die Übersetzung mit der SE63. Beide Transaktionen von SAP bieten nicht den in der heutigen Zeit gewünschten Komfort und Überblick. Das neue Fiori-App zur Langtextpflege bietet über flexible Selektionskriterien als Ergebnis eine komfortable Übersichtsliste (Masterliste) zur weiteren Auswahl und Bearbeitung eines einzelnen Langtextes. Im Detailscreen rechts findet man alle Informationen und Eingabemöglichkeiten mit direktem Übersetzungsbereich.

Hinter der Kachel "Langtextpflege" befindet sich die Transaktion "/FLEXUS/MBS1_1119". Der Benutzer kann bereits gepflegte Langtexte einsehen und für unterschiedliche Sprachen pflegen. Des weiteren können neue Langtexte angelegt, transportiert und gelöscht werden.

Folgende Funktionen stehen zur Verfügung:

**Neuen Langtext anlegen**
Nach einem Klick auf den Button "Neu" wird ein neuer Langtext mit dem Pseudo-Titel "Neuer Langtext" erstellt. Die Master-Liste wird bis auf diesen Eintrag geleert. Der Benutzer muss jetzt seinen Textnamen eingeben. Das über die Feldsteuerung vorbelegte Präfix wird bereits angezeigt, also muss der Benutzer nur noch den Textnamen ohne "/FLEXUS/TC_" eingeben. Die Sprache kann zunächst nicht verändert werden, da der erste Langtext immer in der Sprache angelegt wird, in der man am SAP-System angemeldet (SY-LANGU) ist. Der Kurztitel ist optional, der Langtext muss zum Speichern aber eingegeben werden.
Beendet man den Anlegevorgang mit "Anlegen abbrechen" erscheint ein Popup, ob Änderungen verworfen, oder der Vorgang fortgesetzt werden soll.
Speichert man seinen Langtext, so ist dieser sofort selektiert und kann weiter bearbeitet werden.

**Langtext ändern**
Im Bereich "Langtext ändern / anlegen" können alle möglichen ins SAP-System eingepflegten Sprachen ausgewählt werden, unabhängig davon, ob ein Langtext für die ausgewählte Sprache angelegt ist. In diesem Bereich lässt sich für die jeweils ausgewählte Sprache ein Kurztitel und Langtext anlegen bzw. ändern, der jedoch erst mit 
Langtext löschen
Beim Löschen eines Langtextes stehen 2 verschiedene Möglichkeiten zur Auswahl. Einzelnen Langtext in Zielsprache löschen oder gesamten Langtext in allen Sprachen löschen.

**Löschen**
Betätigt der Nutzer den "Löschen"-Button, so wird versucht den Langtext in der Sprache zu löschen, die im "Langtext ändern / anlegen"-Bereich ausgewählt ist. Es erscheint ein Popup, in dem der User bestätigen muss, dass er den selektierten Langtext wirklich löschen will. Falls der Langtext in der Zielsprache nicht gepflegt ist wird eine Fehlermeldung ausgegeben.

**Gespeicherten Langtext (alle Sprachen) transportieren**
Der Button "Gespeicherte Langtexte transportieren" ermöglicht den Transport eines Langtextes inklusive aller Sprachen in einen Transportauftrag. Nach einem Klick auf den Button öffnet sich ein Popup, in dem eine Transportaufgabe ausgewählt werden muss. Es existiert eine Wertehilfe, die mit F4 aufgerufen werden kann. Nun kann Man man die Treffer nach "Auftrag/Aufgabe", "Kurzbeschreibung", "Übergeordneten Auftrag" und "Inhaber" Filtern. Man kann, falls passende Customizing-Aufträge existieren den passenden Eintrag auswählen und beginnt den Transport mit dem Klick auf "Transportieren".

In SAP rollouts to other countries, the translation of in-house developments is a significant factor for the successful completion of the project. The SAP standard only offers the translation of standard transactions (SAP translation standard) into various target languages. For this reason, the in-house developments must all be translated manually, which represents an enormous time factor and significant transmission problems to translation agencies. The translation environment provided by SAP requires a great deal of up-front work as well as the use of a large number of transactions. SAP offers a number of very integrative ways to translate development environments and tables. Transaction SE63 is used to access the tools and functions to start the translation project. Before that, however, the translation environment must be set up with the transactions SLWA and SLWB and the packages must be assigned. Only now can the translation process be started. All translations are carried out online in the system via the SAPEditor and allow only limited mass editing by external parties.


With the help of the translation tools of Flexus AG you can reduce the time-consuming setup and administration of system properties by the system administration to a minimum. After calling up the desired transaction, you can directly select the worklist or packages to be translated and export the objects via mass or individual processing. Combined advantages of using two modules:

FLX-TranslationCockpit - (FLX-DTC) for the control and post-processing of the imported SAP objects.


The following Flexus translation tools are available:

FLX Translation Cockpit (FLX-DTC) The FLX-DTC is used to control the imports as well as the interactive translation of SAP objects. This tool is ideally suited for the targeted translation of individual SAP objects. 

With the FLX-DTC you select your pool of translatable objects in SAP using the various filter functions. Screens, reports, data elements, domains and picklists with fixed values can be selected interactively here and selected online via a reference to development packages or SAP transport files.With the SAP standard functions, you can define layouts and save them individually for each object. After selecting the start and target language, you can quickly see in the results list which objects still require translation. In the column Target language you only have to enter your translation. After saving, the texts are directly entered into SAP.

FLX Translation-ImportExportManager (FLX-TIEM) This tool is used to translate large amounts of data and objects. After selecting the translation objects, the export to Excel can start. Depending on the object types, e.g. messages, screens or data elements, these are made available as folders in an Excel file. The Excel files can be forwarded directly to a translation agency. The Excel file can only be edited by the translation texts in the "Target language" column. All interactive options such as sorting, copying and deleting are available within the Microsoft Excel standard.

Über die Transaktion SE63 erreicht man die Tools und Funktionen um das Übersetzungsprojekt zu starten. Vorher muss jedoch die Übersetzungsumgebung mit den Transaktionen SLWA und SLWB eingerichtet und die Pakete zugeordnet werden. Erst jetzt kann mit dem Übersetzungsvorgang gestartet werden. Alle Übersetzungen erfolgen über den SAPEditor online am System und lassen eine Massenbearbeitung durch Externe nur bedingt zu.


Mit Hilfe der Übersetzungstools der Flexus AG können Sie die zeitaufwändige Einrichtung und Verwaltung von Systemeigenschaften durch die Systemadministration auf ein Minimum reduzieren. FLX Translation-ImportExportManager (FLX-TIEM) Dieses Tool dient zur Übersetzung großer Daten und Objektmengen. Nach der Selektion der Übersetzungsobjekte kann der Export nach Excel starten. Je nach Objekttypen, z. B. Meldungen, Dynpros oder Datenelementen, werden diese in einem Excel-File als Mappen zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Excel-Files können direkt an ein Übersetzungsbüro weitergeleitet werden. Das Excel-File lediglich um die Übersetzungstexte in der Spalte „Zielsprache“ editiert werden. Alle interaktiven Möglichkeiten wie sortieren, kopieren und löschen stehen Ihnen im Rahmen des Microsoft Excel-Standards zur Verfügung.
